Over the coming year, we will be celebrating some significant milestones for the ProVen VCTs – 10 April will mark 25 years since the launch of ProVen VCT and, next year, ProVen Growth and Income VCT will also celebrate the 25th anniversary of its launch.

Together, the two funds have scaled to become some of the UK’s largest and longest-standing VCTs, and they can now look back on a quarter of a century of investing in UK innovation.

Through backing ambitious founders and enabling them to scale breakthrough businesses, the ProVen VCTs have created high-quality jobs, driven economic impact, and delivered long-term value to shareholders.

Along the way, the ProVen VCTs have steadily grown their assets under management, surpassing £100m in 2014 and reaching over £300m today. The shareholder base has grown to more than 12,000 investors, and the funds have backed hundreds of companies, including success stories such as Monica Vinader, Watchfinder, Blis, and Mergermarket - businesses that have gone on to become category-defining names.

Reflecting on a journey of growth

To mark 25 years of the ProVen VCTs, we’ll be sharing a series of features over the coming year that look back at the story of the ProVen VCTs and the people, companies, and ideas that have defined them.
